ITTEHAAD is a Mutual-Aid platform based on brotherhood and equity. Members contribute at their own will and financial capacity however the outcome is the same for all as treatment expenses are the same irrespective of financial status. This reduces inequalities between different socio-economic classes and enables quality healthcare accessible for all.
When the monthly expense required for a member diagnosed with cancer is received from a partner hospital, ITTEHAAD will deduct money from member accounts on the 1st of that month. The maximum amount deducted will be the level that a member has subscribed to i.e. PKR 20 for a bronze member. PKR 50 for a silver member etc. Depending on the total membership pool the amount deducted can be less than the subscription level but would never exceed it.
This is highly unlikely however it may still happen in which case we will distribute the collected funds amongst all patients proportional to the funds required for each. Also, we’ve taken multiple steps to avoid/manage this situation;
- Contribution tiers are based on very conservative estimates at just 30% of the actual patient-to-member ratio.
- We’ve registered ITTEHAAD welfare foundation (as a section 42 company) to receive donations in such situations.
- We’ve commitments from corporates and multinationals regarding CSR funds contributions
- A few hospitals/patient care partners have also committed to give discounts based on patient eligibility.
We’re confident that all these steps will result in raising enough funds for each patient on time.
- ITTEHAAD members don’t need to submit any claims or paperwork. Just make sure you meet the terms and conditions provided below and show your original CNIC at the agreed panel hospital for treatment.
