ITTEHAAD is creating affordable and accessible safety nets for the masses, based on “Mutual Aid Principles”.
Sehat-ITTEHAAD is our flagship program providing treatment cover of up to 20 lac Rs for 5 major types of cancers (Breast, Brain, Lung, Liver & Cervix uteri) against a small commitment of 20 Rs per member/month. Everyone owning a bank account or mobile wallet can become a member through banking apps, websites, or USSD channels.

How It Works
ITTEHAAD works on the principles of Mutual Aid: when a member meets an unfortunate event, others contribute to help him/her on agreed terms & conditions. When no one needs help, no one contributes and that’s how it is different from insurance. Membership means, committing to contribute a minimum amount whenever funds are required for members’ treatment. You can contribute more if you want however this does not increase the amount of cover for you as the ideology is “equal outcome for all”. Contributions are deducted automatically on the 1st of every month e.g. If 10 million Rs are required for treatment and the total members are 2 million, 5 Rs will be deducted from members’ accounts. Funds are sent to hospitals directly so no claim process is required. See FAQs (clickable link) for more.
